Louth Callan Renewables Begins Construction on the 28MW Mousam Solar Project in Sanford, Maine:

SANFORD, Maine, Feb. 13, 2025 /PRNewswire/ –Louth Callan Renewables, a leading renewable energy construction company, is pleased to announce the commencement of construction on the 28-megawatt (MW) Mousam Solar project in Sanford, Maine. This project represents another significant step in advancing clean energy infrastructure in the region and highlights the company’s continued commitment to sustainable development.

The Mousam Solar project, spanning approximately 110 acres, will generate enough clean energy to power thousands of homes and businesses in Maine upon completion. “Breaking ground on the Mousam Solar project marks another milestone for Louth Callan Renewables as we expand our clean energy construction portfolio into utility scale solar projects,” said Nicholas Sylvestre, Managing Member of Louth Callan Renewables. “As we continue our successful transition into the construction of large scale solar projects (30mws and larger) we are proud to continue to deliver high-quality solar infrastructure projects that benefits both the environment, local communities and our IPP and Utility Partners.”

The construction phase of the project will create 100 jobs at its peak, providing employment opportunities and economic benefits to the local workforce. Additionally, the project will contribute tax revenue and lease payments that support the local economy.

Mousam Solar is part of Louth Callan Renewables’ ongoing efforts to build utility sized clean energy solutions across North America. The company remains dedicated to working with local stakeholders, policymakers, and industry partners to foster a sustainable energy future.
