Sunraycer Renewables Signs Agreements with Meta for 240 MWac of Solar Projects in Texas:

310 MWdc / 240 MWac projects will achieve commercial operation in Q4 2025

ANNAPOLIS, Md., May 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Sunraycer Renewables LLC (“Sunraycer”), a leading developer, owner and operator of clean energy power sites, announced today the execution of two Environmental Attribute Purchase Agreements (“EAPAs”) with Meta Platforms, Inc. (“Meta”) for Sunraycer’s Midpoint CMand Gaia projects in Texas. Under the agreements, Meta will purchase 100% of the Environmental Attributes from Sunraycer’s Midpoint Solar project in Hill County, Texas and the Gaia Solar project in Navarro County, Texas. These agreements will support the construction of the first projects in Sunraycer’s 4 GWac portfolio of solar and battery facilities.

Located near Blum, Texas, the Midpoint Solar project will provide 127 MWdc / 97.5 MWac of energy to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (“ERCOT”) grid. The project is expected to begin commercial operation in late Q4 2025.

In addition to Midpoint Solar, the Gaia Solar project, located near Kerens, Texas, will provide 184 MWdc / 143 MWac of additional energy to the ERCOT grid. This project is also scheduled for commercial operation in late Q4 2025.

“This partnership with Meta underscores our commitment to delivering high-quality, utility-scale solar projects that drive the transition to clean energy,” said David Lillefloren, CEO of Sunraycer. “We are proud to support ERCOT’s energy diversification efforts, while helping Meta meet its ambitious sustainability goals.”

In addition to its agreements with Meta, Sunraycer continues to expand its key relationships with new financing partners, equipment manufacturers and clean energy developers. Through its Accelerant Program, Sunraycer provides a differentiated approach by working with smaller developers, offering flexible capital solutions and access to institutional O&M, energy management and generation management services. This provides for certainty of execution and an alternative to working with traditional utilities. The program’s success has enabled Sunraycer to become a valuable resource to the industrial power client community, with an ever growing share of large data center operators as key partners.

“We’re excited to support Sunraycer’s efforts to bring two solar projects to the grid in Texas,” said Urvi Parekh, global head of energy, Meta. “These projects will support our goals to match our operations with 100% clean and renewable energy.”

Sunraycer was advised by Orrick, Herrington, & Sutcliffe LLP as legal counsel.
